In the beginning....

Well bags are packed, culling process has occurred 3 times and we are down to the bear minimum - 20 kgs later we are set to roll! Sitting here in Brisbane with Colleen and Gary, sipping a nice glass of white, who would believe that we are ready to begin our big adventure tomorrow.

So for now it's one more glass of vino and dreams of customs and immigration, endless hours of plane travel, searching for public toilets (thank goodness for McDonalds!) and trying to work out train schedules in foreign languages... and Alias names; Serena = Lola Vamp (the Tramp) and Heidi = Fifi de Burlesque (the Princess -- on a budget!). Should go down well in South America! Wonder how to translate that into a foreign language??

So let's hope we make it to Brisbane airport on time before the flight leaves cos can't miss those free drinks and don't forget that stop over in Fiji. Do you think we'll have time for a cocktail within that 5 hr layover? Maybe Kava Kava? Willing to give it ago. With reference and many thanks to Cols and Gazza for the hospitality!
